This hotel is so so and I say that lightly because it depends largely on what you are use to. This property has a prime yet quite location and great bones. Buttttt.... the rooms and common areas are in great need of some tender love and care. A major update is in desperate need. The restaurant, bar and buffet were ok but the lobby and rooms are neglected. New carpet and bathroom remodeling will make a big difference as mine had dinged and mildew I hated to use it. I only come here because my favorite science fiction conventions are here. I would NEVER choose to stay here otherwise. Service is glacially slow, room service food is terrible, and basic functions like hot water and climate control in the rooms are intermittent at best. I once found a smoke detector ripped off the wall and stashed under the bed in my room. Avoid.

Fine for conferences, I come here and few times a year for that purpose. But the food services are terrible. Mediocre food and slow.

The desk staff told me the hotel was sold out until I showed them that Club Carlson stated other wise. Afterward they miraculously located 2 rooms.
