21 years ago today/tonight I would become a survivor. The SANE nurse provided me with RCC’s information and I eventually came in. Not only did my therapist help me work through this horrific event, she encouraged me to speak up and out. I found my voice again doing survivor panels through RCC for SAPD and other first responders. I think and hope the new programs (esp the writing programs) they are launching are successful because if I were back home I would DEFINITELY be taking advantage of them...
