Dr Rao was my husband's Dr. He did surgery for prostate cancer and everything was okay. Husband had blood in urine, took him to Dr Rao and he said he needed to be in hospital. Took him to hospital and Dr Rso didn't know what to do for him, my husband ended up in Shands and they took care of him and got the bleeding to stop and then received a letter from Rao' s oofi e saying the wouldn't treat him any more. If it's not robotics surgery, BEWARE of Dr. Rao. There are plenty of other Urologist near The Villages.
I’m giving the one star to the Staff. I won’t go into too much detail, but there is one at the front desk who is very rude and another from the call center who lied to me about Doctor Not being there on my appointment day and asked if I was ok with a nurse practitioner. I said that would be fine, and she proceeded to try and change my appointment anyway and after a few words she hung up on me!! That didn’t sit very well with me!! I was a patient of Dr Rao. I sought his aid for an ED issue. I had tried pharmaceutical resolution which was ineffective. His recommendation of implantation or direction of needle insertion was not acceptable . I attempted to see him regarding a urinary matter and was told I was no longer ACCEPTABLE as a patient because I did not follow his prior recommendation I was summarily DISMISSED as a patient
Dr Rao is an excellent urologist I've been going to him for 12 years now and he's very conscientious. The staff at his office in Oxford are excellent especially Tressa who does the x-rays she is terrific. Dr Rao his performed a few surgical procedures on me and the outcomes have been great.
