My father in law moved to Courtyard from another assisted living. He enjoys the shopping and other outings. He says he "doesn't feel trapped here" as he did at his old place. Also enjoys Bingo and other activities.
My mom was put in memory care January 2026. I thought she was in good hands. As time goes along we learned to contact hospice for extra help. I have to constantly keep an eye on these people. We ordered mom a memory phone so she can call her family. Through her phone I have learned what courtyard does and doesn't do for her. They reprimand her for pushing her button when she needs assistance, will let her sit and soil herself due to poor service. They keep the doors locked so they cannot go in their rooms or take naps.
