You got to really love knives to go to this place. Not just a mild love or a curious fascination, but a deep love of blades. If you want to drop a lot of money on a well made knife then this is your place. If you are going for the museum then be warned, it's not really a museum. It's more of a huge knife collection. There isn't a lot of information on any of the knives. They are just on display. Also, the museum is not clearly marked. It's the house that looks like someone is living in. I bought a model 25 through ag russell. It says made from 1/4" steel but mine is 3/16. The blade is so thin from the hollow grind it would break if did any heavy cutting. The jimping isn't square across the blade, runs off at an angle. No quality control. I make knives better than these at a fraction of the price. Very disappointing. I'm sending it back to ag but thought you should know

While in the Army, I knew quite a few guys who had and spoke highly of their Randall knife. Some were gifts from their father or another family member. They were excellent knives, but I never thought I would purchase one. A few years later, I bought a Model 25 made to my specifications. 6" stainless steel blade, Mexican Desert ironwood handle, with a brass butt cap. It is a beautiful blade that I am proud to own. Randall costs a little more than some other knives, but that is due to the craftsmanship and quality of materials... read more
