This builder does it better than alot of tje surrounding ones. With this boulder you definitely get a energy efficient home to save on your electric bill. I own one of their builds that I'm currently living in so speaking first hand
Purchased home from this builder and response to repairs has been absolutely horrid. Nightmare. DO NOT buy here. These houses have extreme settlement/soils issues and Meritage does NOTHING to mitigate it. They are forcing our hand with the ROC and offering blanket repairs to a deeper rooted problem. We are going to have to get a lawyer and battle them out in court to get the issue we have with settlement taken care of.
