We were so looking forward to staying with Linda. We booked our stay specifically for the team ropings, but they were canceled due to the EHV-1 and EHV-4 virus outbreak, which was completely beyond our control. We contacted Rancho Casitas Guest Ranch hoping for a refund or even a credit for our deposit, but they refused. I understand having a cancellation policy, but I expected more flexibility given the circumstances. If you’re booking for an event, be sure to read the cancellation policy carefully.
We stayed at Rancho Casitas for a month and could not have had a better time. The property is stunning and has plenty of space to relax, hike about, dip in the pool, or grill dinner and eat outside (which we did most nights). Linda and Kara were exceptional hosts and not only made us feel welcome, taught us a new game, and just made great company, but also gave excellent local recommendations.
