I lived in this park for 41 years. I can remember when it was a good and decent place to live. Then Barbara Turner took over as manager. We never had a problem with our neighbors until she allowed a girl to move in who was loud mouthed drunk. After two years of written and oral complaints they finally moved out. Lost Cat Owner..............Did you know that Rancho Caballero Mobile Home has Mountain Lions that roam around at night in that park. I use to live there and I use to go out in my car around 1:00 in the morning looking for this cat they say it is beautiful. While living there for approx. 10 years mgmt. instructed us to make sure that we brought our pets inside at night. Although I had a cat too for a long time before we left we could not find him either.....bring your pets indoors at night!

its 1:00 am and if anyone wants to buy or rent at the comal farms park, do not move here. too many young adults that like very loud music late at night , horns blowing at all hours and houses not being taken care of. just a buyer be ware notice.

Save yourself the hassle and grief! Do not move here! My mother moved here a little over 5 years ago. At the time she moved in they gave her a pretty good deal on lot rent, if I remember correctly the lot rent was about 275 a month (give or take a few) they said the price was guaranteed for 3 years. Well... after about 6 months they came up with some lame excuse why they had to raise the lot rent. This is a beautiful and very well-run park and convenient location to everything...so many things to do. Every home is beautifully kept, layout of streets are very nice and the pool area & clubhouse are so very nice! Many friendly people and Bingo night is a blast!

Oakwood village is the worst experience I have ever had! We still live here and are currently looking for a home and it cannot come soon enough! Management is absolutely horrible. They have called my husband's work numerous times trying to get him fired. They towed our car out of our driveway with NO warning, no sticker nothing. We had to call the cops and are suing them. My husband leaves for work at 3 am and they called the police and said we must be dealing drugs over here because people are coming at all hours of the nig... read more

Living in the park for over ten years now, I have had it. When I first moved in, it was considered a gated community and the gates were closed to outsiders all the time. You could not just drive into the park. But the last few years that has changed and the gates to the community are open during daytime hours. This has created an ongoing problem of thefts and break-ins, where as before this was a relatively low crime neighborhood. Since 2004 there have been a few home invasions, a shooting AND a homicide.
