Dr. Gilsdorf was contacted by the ER in the middle of the night about my son's acute pancreatitis due to gallstones and he was able to do his surgery the following afternoon. He was very personable and explained everything in terms my son could understand. He put me at ease as well and I am a nurse so that is saying a lot. He communicated with me right after surgery about how it went. I was overall very impressed with Dr. Gilsdorf, thank you for helping my son and keeping him safe during surgery.
I'd like to share a very valuable experience I have recently had with Columbia Surgical Specialists. including the initial consultation with Dr. Ahmad, each step of the way from engaging the personel at the reception point, the pre-op, the actual surgical procedure, and the post-op, my wife and I encountered nothing but professionalism on everyones part.
