Ramon is not only an excellent guitar instructor, he is also a music historian...a very knowledgeable person. I learned so much about music in general as well as how to play the guitar well ! Practice! Practice! Practice ! Highly recommend.
I have been learning guitar with Ramon for a couple of years and it has been both interesting and fun. I received a grade 8 RCM level in piano and musical theory before taking Ramon's classes. Extremely experienced musician with a wealth of knowledge. He helped me expand my abilities on guitar and set me up to easily get better. Also a fun guy and has awesome stories.
Before I started taking guitar lessons with Ramon, I felt like I had no direction, practicing aimlessly, without any sense of purpose. My motivation to continue was low, I constantly questioned the value of what I was practicing, and I didn't feel as if I was progressing in any meaningful way. Ramon taught guitar to my two daughters, and he was great. One of my daughters took the conservatory tests and did very well. Ramon is a very knowledgeable teacher. Before finding him, my girls were going to a different teacher who didn’t teach them any technique, but he did teach them a lot of bad habits that Ramon had to correct. My girls are now adults and moved on from guitar, but we will always be helpful to Ramon, who was not only a great teacher, he is also a great motivator.
