If I could give 0 stars I would. My father was admitted for med management. Communication from both the social worker and Dr was disappointing. We had to initiate the communication. He tested positive for corona virus, and I learned of this when I went to see him. I escalated my complaints to the patient advocate without a satisfactory response. Personal belongings were missing. Several staff members were kind, but I would avoid this facility at all costs.

I rarely leave reviews like this, but after what my family experienced with my 95-year-old grandmother at Ramapo Ridge, I feel obligated to share our experience—particularly for families considering placing a vulnerable loved one here. My grandmother has advanced dementia and is completely dependent on others for her care. What we witnessed during her stay was heartbreaking and, at times, felt completely inhumane. The building is nice, but this is a terrible place to be at. They give you a schedule in the morning, but everything is off schedule. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is always late by about 20 minutes or so. They are severely understaffed. They need a receptionist because no one answers the phone or respond to voicemails. Find a better place at all costs. The mental health doctor was good, but the regular health doctor was not.

Would not recommend to anyone. Day1 : A list of contacts and promise of weekly update. Reality: My mother spent almost 3 weeks at site and the only time I got an update was physically going there or when I promised to escalate . Day 1: we will check on her every 15min. Reality: My mother had cuts on her face and deep gouge on her arm the first weekend - they told me they knew for sure no one did it but couldn’t tell me what happened or even when!!
