This lady is one extremely knowledgeable doctor. In 2006 I decided to get a 2nd opinion for my cancer diagnosis. After seeing 4 different specialists, who all advised surgery or radiation therapy, Dr. Balaraman advised Active Surveillance after reviewing all options available. Today, 2026 at 85, I am still on active surveillance and have never had any of the invasive and challenging procedures first presented to me. She has zero bedside manner raise his false hope and will not begin urgently needed treatment until payment is secured. I guess it’s just a business like everything else money first patient care second.
I emailed my MRI results to Dr. Balaraman when she was out of the country. Three hours later, she contacted me back, personally, and passed the information to her office and got me an appointment for the day she got back. She also gave me great advice on paying for all my tests, as I was self-pay. She truly cares about people.
Update. DONT go to her. Period. Entire staff are on all different pages. Didn’t even show for my online appointment.
