Ralph & Kacoo's is the reference point for seafood in South Baton Rouge. Since opening its doors in 1969, it has been a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Take a seat among the ample arrangement for 800 and enjoy contemporary seafood with traditional Southern sides. Beer-battered fish and crawfish etouffee deserve a special mention. For non-takers of coastal cuisine, they also have a limited menu of steak. This award-winning restaurant is a great choice for family gatherings and group events.

Excellent The food is great along with the ambience in the restaurant. It is family oriented and greatly received by many for my high school graduation. I would recommend this location for any event,
Great Food Ralph and Kacoos serves reliable, delicious Louisiana style dishes. The seafood is a specialty, but even a non-seafood eater can enjoy a quality meal here. I have always attended several events in banquet rooms here, and I have always been pleased with the food and service.
Went there not too long ago. Food came out luke warm at best....the server, can't remember her name, was argumentative & rude. I remember eating there as a teenager (many years ago) and couldn't wait to come back. Now, can't wait to find another dining option. Sorry.
Went to eat there recently, wasn't all that impressed. It may have been the place to go in it's heyday, but that was a long time ago. Apparently they decided to rest on their laurels and reputation instead of keeping up with the times and competition. Our seafood on this day was overcooked, too salty, and the waiter had an attitude as if waiting tables was beneath him. I understand an LSU student trying to make a few extra bucks might not like the job, but the school of hard knocks is going to give him a few lessons of it's ... read more
service was great, bread and appetizer was wondeful. Main dish.. Plentiful .. But lacked in flavor and crispiness. Price was reasonable! Better to have grilled or blackened dishes!
Awful. – This is an unpleasant, overpriced, pretentious takeoff of a restaurant chain. The food is modern industrial. The décor is vulgar. Life is short; do not waste a second of here.
Stopped in at Ralph & Kacoo's the last time I was in Baton Rouge and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Not only was the service exceptional ( friendly, attentive and professional), but the food was out of this world. Not only was the food served hot and delicious, the portions were large enough that we were able to take leftovers home. The entire atmosphere makes it a complete and unique experience. I recommend that everyone stop in when in Baton Rouge. You will definitely be in for a treat!
I give it 2 stars because I am a nice person. Our last visit we were at the bar waiting on a table. The Manager and a waitress started arguing loudly at each other. The waitress brought back raw oysters that were shucked by the manager. Customers were not pleased that they were not cleaned properly. The manager was rude and said that was the best he could do. Menu is over priced and food is not outstanding but not horrible.
