I purchased a brand new Yamaha ATV in February 2025 (2024 Yamaha 700 Kodiak EPS SE leftover). I got a great price on the quad. That's where the good ends. I called to get a quote for the first service on the ATV and was quoted $1400. I called 3 other Yamaha dealers in Atlantic Canada ( 2 dealers in Nova Scotia and 1 in New Brunswick) and was quoted between $380 and $450 for the same first service. I found a motorcycle that I liked there. I spoke to the sales rep and we spoke about the bike. When the ignition was turned on, the display indicated that servicing was required. I had to go to the service department myself to ask what the servicing was going to cost, since the sales rep said it would not be done by them before the sale. The service told me that the BMW mechanic that drove it from Halifax to Dieppe was not there for a couple of days.
