Tried to cash a Western Union money order here and they told me that I have to call the number on the back as if they don't have giant Western Union signs everywhere, and I'm mistakenly in the wrong place. According to their company policy, you must have the bottom receipt of a money order for them to cash it, despite the instructions from Western Union that state whoever is writing the money order should keep the receipt. The woman said she couldn’t cash a personal check before I even had the opportunity to unfold it and hand it to her. I said “it states online that you offer personal check cashing as one of your money services and this is a check from my father”. She replied that they don’t cash checks written by relatives. Even though that’s ridiculous to begin with, they could at least simply post that online. If they want to use their discretion and be unreasonable, then simply post it.
