I and everyone that traveled with me from Fayetteville Friday to the Southern women show,we really enjoyed checking everything out,fashion show,eating and buying goodies,we also came across some wonderful people,God bless�
This review is one from a handicap point of view. There is no handicap accessible door to enter the building that we found (automatic open). It was very confusing to figure out which elevators went to which floors. Also, the way the court set up was done (this might be more on the event promoter rather than the center itself) it was nearly impossible to get to some of the courts in a wheelchair.
This was my 1st and last time. We attended the Deep South Tournament this weekend and spent a lot of money to be treated rudely by the staff. They need extensive training on professionalism and customer service.
The Nook Raiders had a good Deep South Classic Tournament going 3-1 in the U 15 division. I thought the entry fee was really high ($20pp/day) and with a family of 4 (1 player) it cost our family $240. Almost all tournaments have a 2-4 day pass at a reduced rate.
I was in town helping out with some Pre Draft workouts with Drew Hanlen of Pure Sweat Basketball and my granddaughter TayTay Brown AAU team was playing in the Deep South Classic, I was able to slip out of the workouts to catch two of her games. My only request is the folks running the DSC consider the cost to get in the event for family, costly to see your child play, $20 per person, wow, the convention center was nice.
