There's at least one poster of these reviews who *should* realize that what goes around comes around. People say karma is a bitch, but that's what happens when you don't pay people what you owe them. Word.
This is one of the WORST. This attorney has been suspended previously, involved in a case on sham pleadings with a now disbarred judge, delays cases, hired disbarred attorneys, files hundreds of papers so it costs people he is against hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight back. Stephen Rakusin has been living with his client for 20 years, while he represents her against her ex-husband, driving that man to bankruptcy and homelessness with over 1600 case filings. There is no law firm at this address !! It has been foreclosed on by the bank. He is up for disbarment with Supreme Court and had a prior suspension.
oh, Marlene, you wish it was just me posting. And I use my real name. I'm not afraid. And it's Mentecky.... it's written all over Stephen's Florida Bar cases, plural.... so it's not that hard to find. What your husband did to me and so many others was wrong on so many levels.... The Florida Bar knows it... as will the Florida Supreme Court will... again. But go on and stick up for your HUSBAND (lol).... your lawyer ... for how much longer? Most if not all the bad reviews for Stephen Rakusin are written by a disgruntled divorcee named Jackie Mentucky. She reveals herself as Really D and also Monica, Michelle, Beverly and even accused me of being Kathy (who was very happy with Steve. I was lucky enough to have him as my attorney for 15 years before I married him. He is a wonderful, caring and the hardest working attorney who will always fight for his clients. The man is a genius, and a life saver not to mention compassionate. He has said to me more than once "now you are not always going to like my answers or what I have to say but my job is to tell you the truth what you do with it is up to you" If I ever find myself in a pickle again and need a lawyer I would hire him on the drop of a dime
Worst ever no wonder the building with the lawfirm is in foreclosure. Charges excessive fees, hired disbarred lawyers, files all sorts of unnecessary depositions to destroy your network, doesn't pay his bills.
Biggest mistake ever .. wish these reviews and complaints were known before I hired him. Enough with the fake comments by fake people .
