Dr Raker saved my life! He was a recommendation from another doctor. Dr Raker had a thorough screening process, reviewed my medical history, ordered labs, interviewed me to verify I was a good candidate for a specific procedure, and explained the process. Once cleared, the inpatient procedure was scheduled within weeks of the screening process. He greeted me prior to the procedure and again explained the process. I have been a cancer patient since 2015 and have had numerous surgeries including porrt insertion and removal. On Monday, April 1st I got a new port at 8:00 am in the surgical pavillion. Dr. Charles Raker was the doctor. I am so traumatized by his sadistic performance of surgery that I am shaking. He never informed me that he would be cutting me open, tearing my skin from the underlying muscle and stabbing a hole into my vein without the use of anesthesia. I am a two time cancer survivor so I have had many medical encounters and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Dr Raker never introduced himself but walked into the room and looked at the ultrasound machine. He never reviewed my medical history or asked for my input on which lesions we were to biopsy. When I volunteered my history and the directives of my other doctors, he made fun of it and continued to make light of it to the pathologist when she entered the room.
