Wanted to go to Alaska and fish for halibut. Chose Rainy Day because of the excellent reviews Captain Bill was absolutely excellent and not only knew where all the best spots were but was a wealth of knowledge not just about fishing but knew so much about each type of fish. He knew a great deal about the history of Ketchikan and its indigenous peoples as well. All and all we got our halibuts and then he took us to a place where ‘all the best and fattest silvers’ were. We booked Jared on a cruise and we waited till the night before. Jared responded quickly and luckily was available. The boat is nice. Has a bathroom if you need it. He has all good gear. You can tell he grew up in the area and knows the waters and the fish there. No surprises, he took cc and we caught some good fish that he lined up with a processor for us to ship it home. We had a great time and would book with Jared anytime.

Our party of four fished from Friday, July 21-23 with Jared in Ketchikan. His attentiveness to each of us was excellent! He worked very hard to keep us in the water, always fishing. His boat, Ice Blue, is excellent. He is very knowledgeable and tries very hard to please everyone. We caught 40 Pink and Silver (Coho) Salmon in 2 1/2 days of fishing. We tried for Halibut but were unsuccessful in getting any. That was very disappointing for our group. We tried for about 4 1/2 hours on our last day with no luck. I am not sure if ... read more
