A Family Owned Business The Halvorson family has been in the helicopter business since 1965. In 1992, Elling Halvorson and Lon Halvorson formed Rainier Helicopter Logging, Inc We had success logging with a fleet of Huey's, a Bell 214B, and a KAMAN K-1200 KMAX. When the bottom fell out of the timber market, we rapidly restructured Rainier and began looking internationally for work. In 1998, we changed our name to Rainier Heli-Lift, Inc to fit our new mission. As the company continued to grow, so did the request for aircraft leasing.
