Cute place – Despite the fact that we have a Rainforest at home, we decided to go here for dinner in Vegas. Overall a cute place with fun ambiance. We liked the thunderstorms every half hour or so. Service was slightly sketchy, though, and the food all seemed to come out at once. It didn't help that the table was super mini when all that food came out. Not sure if I would go back anytime soon, but it was fun nonetheless. Good frozen drinks.
Nothing Special – The restaurant certainly looked and sounded like a rainforest complete with lightning, thunder, and animal sounds. Unfortunately, the sounds were so loud that we could hardly carry on a conversation at our table. The noise was too intense for my easy going 4 year old. The food was average comparable to other family-oriented menus. We ordered calamari and were disappointed when it arrived looking very crumbled on the plate. The flavor was good but the pieces were so tiny it looked like we were served other d... read more
Worth the wait If you visit Las Vegas I suggest you eat here. Their shrimp is the best I've had. Especially the coconut shrimp.. Make sure you leave room for the volcano.
RAINFOREST CAFE THE RAINFOREST CAFE IS LOCATED IN THE MGM. IT IS A GREAT PLACE FOR CHILDREN. THEY CAN ENJOY A GREAT MEAL FOR KIDS, CONSISTING OF DINOSAUR-SHAPED CHICKEN NUGGETS. THEY HAVE SIMULATED RAIN STORMS AND ELECTRONIC ANIMALS THEY CAN WATCH AND ENJOY WHILE THEY EAT. JOANN D.
If you like noise here it is. I took my family to the Rainforest, for dinner, and it was a mistake, so-so food, overpriced, and not very good, but who could tell with the noisse and racket. It was terrible.
Look at the other reviews Yes the key thing in other reviews is kids. And where you have kids and rainstorms, you have lots of noise. This place is extremely noisy. However, it is a unique atmosphere. Food is just marginal and nothing different.
rainforest cafe (bummer) we went to the rainforest cafe for our anniversery dinner. after waiting in a long line we ended up getting the worst seat in the place. i was seated facing the line that waited to get in (within inches and they were staring at me also) and my back was to all the jungle vegitation and animal noises. that was the reason i wanted to go there in the first place. i would have rather waited longer on such a special occasion rather than feel the whole thing was ruined by the horrible seating. i kept trying... read more
Wonderful place to take the kids. I have taken many children here for a tour and lunch. I had worked at a day care center and set up a tour. The staff is very friendly and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about answering the childrens questions. We all enjoyed the lunch that was served us. The food is great.
The Rainforest Cafe, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino The Rainforest Cafe, located inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, is a must-see if you have kids -- although it's cool enough for just adults. The ambiance is awesome, like you've just stepped into a rainforest: you're surrounded by realistic-looking animals and real aquariums, and under a canopy of trees. There are "rainstorms" every half-hour. The food is delicious, too! The prices aren't especially cheap, but they're not overly expensive for what you're getting, either -- they... read more
