Would not recommend right now - tons of burrs. We thought bringing our dog here would be a good idea since it's been so unseasonably hot in March. We thought it would be a nice cool down, but it turned into having to carry our dog back to the car and pick out burrs from all over her. When we walked to the water, we realized that everywhere we stepped there were burrs, and our dog had them stuck all over her hair and (more importantly) all over her paws/paw pads. Nope not paying $20 gor parking just me nope. rocks no sand And the shade under the pavillon things only good for 2 hours of the day. The rest of the time hot and sunny Just a no for me personally But the ppl I met there had kids and they all had fun so they said. I left after I dropped off the food, bcuz o refuse to pay and I am a stickler for rules.
The water was clean and warmer than I expected. The area was clean and I felt comfortable leaving my chairs and towels on the beach while I went out on the water.
Water and area was nice. It was just hard to find a spot to park while towing a trailer, and then having to carry kayaks, kids, and gear, 60-70 yards down a loose rock hill.
The view its nice but the lake not so clean
