I had an awful EMG experience in the past, so I was quite anxious about today. Fortunately, my experience with Dr Abhyankar was completely different from my previous experience! He was kind and personable. He quickly made me feel at ease. He asked about my areas of concern and purposefully talked to me in order to distract me from the discomfort of the testing. I would highly recommend him.
Dr Abhyankar has no compassion at all. Arrogant at its finest. Had an appt today at 1. Left at 12pm (30 min drive) and was running late due to a major traffic accident blocking ramp access to highway (25 min stationary) but still within the allowed period 15 min grace. I called to ensure and they reiterate 15 min past and must be rescheduled. I arrived at 1:13 (appt was at 1). Met young areogant receptionists who the doctor was yelling out dates for reschedule. Don't post a policy and not honor it.
To be honest, he's great mostly for migraines but isn't really up to the task of looking beyond the easy answers. While I am a medical mystery and accept that, a couple MRIs and an EMG and he says he'll stop looking. He did at least set me up referrals to someone who might be more willing, hopefully. He is kind and has good bedside manner, save for once when he laughed and asked what the point of my MTHFR gene mutation is. He would do well to study a bit more and not give up so easily, I believe.
