We went to our second seasonal dinner at Raffaldinis with wine pairings for all courses. Mr. Raffaldini is not shy on sharing his wine and his knowledge and makes for a wonderful evening. With shuttles to and from a couple of local hotels, it is safe to indulge and enjoy. We always meet some great people. The dinners fill up quickly so it’s wise to keep an eye on their website. We will definitely be back!

There are plenty of vineyards in NC to visit. It really amounts to what you appreciate in wine and your overall expectations. Raffaldini Vineyards set themselves apart in the art of making a superior wine. You won't find their product in stores competing with mass produced products. What you will find is a wine that is crafted for the purpose of pairing it with an event such as a nice meal, sitting with friends or a time to sit and relax on your own. The annual Assemblaggio events in November are a can't-miss for our friends, my husband and I. The winery itself is beautiful and Jay works to improve it and their wines every year. This is hands-down the best place for red wine in NC, especially if you like big, bold, dry reds.
