We had a kitchen remodel just about a year ago. The subcontractor that did the majority work was excellent, but the contracting itself was very disappointing. We had several surprises such as a $5000 electrical charge that was totally unexpected and should’ve been able to be identified upfront. At the time the countertops were already ripped off and there wasn’t an opportunity really to cancel the contract and find somebody else.
