Brent was scheduled to do a cleaning/inspection for us. He had removed an old fireplace a few years back and did a great job. While doing his inspection, he noticed the installation of the new fireplace and its components was not done correctly. We just had our old 1935 chimney cleaned, inspected and damper installed today by Radtke Chimneys - we greatly appreciated their hard work while at our home today, they definitely left the place cleaner then how it was when they arrived! They had great attention to detail and we could see how they used their experience and knowledge to help us out with our situation. Since I found this service, I haven't considered another. Owner/operator does a thorough inspection and cleaning. Fee is fair compared with others.
Brent came out a few years ago to do a chimney cleaning and it failed due to the cap being seized up. He noted the chimney cap was very rusty which explained the streak on my roof. He bid out a replacement for that chimney cap but I did not opt to proceed. FF two years, hail damage occurred to us and we got a new roof, since we have a nice new roof I did not want it marred by that rust stain.
