My husband went here for a biopsy and had to spend the night. The morning shift was great, but night was a different story. The room next to ours was empty, so they had the Cardinals game turned up as loud as the TV would go so the staff could hear it through out the hall. The game didnt end until 11:30pm. When youve been up since 4am, not to mention getting a biopsy, you want to sleep. His IV was empty and alarming out so we paged the nurse. Two hours and two requests later they showed up with a new bag.

I walked into St. Josephs Health Center in St. Charles and was surprised to see someone I knew telling me they worked there. Apparently their Radiology Department thinks its ok for you to work there if you have 4 DWIs in the last couple of years (1 is too many). When I called their HR department to ask how does something like that happen and had even looked up the case numbers so they could see it for themselves I was transferred several times and finally hung up. You would think with everything going on at DePaul their hiri... read more

Recently my mother was hospitalized here for 10 days. Unfortunately she did not make it out of the hospital. She entered St. Josephs from another facility and was already septic when she arrived. She fought hard even to the end. I feel most of the nursing staff did a good job with her, showed compassion and concern. But on her death bed which took almost 13 hours, the charge nurse on the floor told us we would have to move her to a non-monitored bed, if she hadnt passed away by 7PM that day. I guess she wasnt dying fast enou... read more

I have been a patient at St Joes twice this year. The care in the ER was outstanding. The nursing care was also very good. I wasnt very impressed with the hospitalists who actually follow you as an inpatient. Whatever happened to your own doctor seeing you while you were admitted!! The rooms were clean. Hope they finally get the er construction over with. Has been a royal pain to park there due to the on going construction

I will not return to St.Joseph Health Center! When I had my daughter 6 months ago to the day I was ready to leave and go home the same night I had her. The day nurse Andrea was wonderful however when I was moved to postpartum I had a nurse who was rude and just wanted to sit on her rear all night. I sat in the bathroom for 20 minutes waiting on an ice pack and never got one until about 45 minutes later. When I called up to the front desk they told me she was on her way but had something else to do and would be there soon. Tha... read more

I was transfered from one hospital, to St. Joseph, I and my family were scared, this being my first time in hospital. The E.R. nurses didnt even address me! But I knew everything that department was going to eat that night and from which resturant. I laid in triage for 5 hours for a bed. One C.N.A talked to me got me blankets and asked if I was ok. The beside manner of my nurse was terrible. When wheeling my bed to telemetry there were comments made about my weight, this really hurt she laughed it off. However the telemetry ... read more
