Rader Lodge is a con. The lodge is on the internet and there is actually NO LODGE. Jeff went bankrupt two to three years ago and does guided and non-guided hunts on different farms. We paid him $1750 a day for 5 people to hunt $9050 for the week. Jeff said most of the time we would limit out. Starting Monday Jeff met us at the breakfast bar and gave us a hunting app and gave us a pin on the map on where to hunt. He sent us to a farm and said the guys Sunday missed alot of birds so we should be good. Between the 5 of us we sh... read more

Advantages: The hunting was very tough because the wind was unreal. Blowing so hard it made it difficult to walk. Did hear turkeys gobble the only morning with wind under 30 mph and saw turkey at long distance and turkey sign was almost everywhere. The property is about the only thing I can't complain about. Met the property owner when he was feeding his cows, got more information from him than from our "Guides". Food was put in the oven in the afternoon for evening meal. Disadvantages: When we arrived at our lodge, nobody w... read more

I hunted a few days ago with Rader Lodge and 2 friends from High School. The guide and dogs were great. We each shot a limit of pheasants early and should have been earlier if we were better shots. The lodge and the Hindquarter in Cawker City were both great, as were breakfast and lunch at the Banner in Beloit. Thanks Jeff and Jesse.

Jeff Rader has refunded my $500 deposit. Our point of contention was that he wanted final payment upon arrival and I would not agree to that. I have hunted with several outfitters in numerous states and have never had one require final payment until after the hunt at which time I paid and gave a generous tip. Now that I have my $ 500 back I am only out the cost of travel and lodging which amounts to $526.50 and 4 days of my life Thanks Jeff for returning my deposit. Ron Hickman

In the fall of 2019, I contacted Jeff Rader of Rader Lodge ( which does not actually exist). Rader Lodge was advertised to be in Glen Elder, Kansas. I arranged a 3 day hunt for the 2020 spring season. I agreed to make a deposit of $500 and did so. I was to pay the balance of the hunt when that occurred. Due to the arrival of COVID-19, the state of Kansas stopped issuing non-resident licenses. I contacted Jeff Rader and agreed to let him keep the $500 and reschedule the hunt for May of 2021. I drove 1142.8 miles from Thomson... read more

Nov. 5-8, 2020 5 guys and 2 young boys had a terrific hunt with Rader Lodge. Plenty of birds that flew great and Jeff was a great host. We would certainly recommend Rader Lodge for their guided release bird hunts. Larry Moore Mossy Oak Brand Camo
