Several months ago, I wanted a hitch installed and needed a bike rack. The salesman knew all the options and various products really well. within a couple hours, the hitch and assembled rack were installed. I was very pleased with the quality of service and love my new bike rack.

I had bought Thule racks from them several years ago. I recently purcahsed used racks in Newport Beach for another car and I struggled to get them on, so I stopped by. Will graciously helped me out, even though he was already closed for the day and even though I did not purchase anything this time. We wrapped it up in about 10 minutes, he smiled and sent me on my way. It is so rare to get treated like that these days and every business should take a lesson from them. I stopped in at the San Carlos Store. I needed a overhead storage for my Mercedes 4Matic Wagon a day before going up to Mendocino for the Fathers day weekend. It was take two car or get extra storage. Jonathan set us up with what turn out to be a perfect fit! Jonathan knew exactly what we needed. The trip was flawless. We are greatful! Would I recommend San Carlos Rack n Road? It is an emphatic YES!

Wonderful customer service and very knowledgeable. I purchased a Thule rack system with a Yakima rooftop box for holding my ski gear. Ask for John. He is a super nice guy and did a great job with the installation. I would highly recommend Rack N Road.

Solid experience at the San Carlos RacknRoad. I needed to get a hitch and bike rack for my new Highlander. The guys at RnR really made it quick and easy for me. I went into the store and was helped by a couple of friendly and knowledable employees who knew a lot about the bike racks that I was interested in. They were having a 20% sale on hitches and the prices on the racks were the same prices I was seeing online. Customer service? Ha! They so far have ordered the wrong hitch (which they did rectify) and now, for my mother in laws car have "forgotten" to order another one. They told my repeatedly told my wife that they have ordered the hitch and attachment for a mobility scooter, but no-one can find it in the system. ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT!!! The owner cant figure it out, and the staff circle around with a resounding "duh!!" when you ask the status. Go to REI or ANYWHERE else to get he work done. I purchased a truxedo tonneau cover from rack n road and after I realized I was not mechanical enough to put it on. They schedualed me in the next day and had it done very fast. Thanks for the great product and install.

I had a hitch and bike rack installed on my FX. The staff was very knowledgeable. For my particular set-up, the Yakima bike rack sits too close to the exhaust causing the rack to heat up. They recommended the Thule rack because it sits higher reducing the heat from the dual exhaust system on the FX.They scored points on letting me know this detail. Jonathon at Rack and Road helped me with the purchase.
