Had my SmartCap Defender EVO installed by this shop and was given an estimate of a 4 hour installation and a quote of approximately $600. Ended up waiting for 6 hours and when I received the keys for my truck, the SmartCap installation was completely botched. The trim of my truck bed was so damaged that I could see plastic shavings hanging off. Bought a SmartCap here for about $5000 and paid another $500 for installation, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. From day one, the install team could not figure out how to properly wire the rear brake light. Instead of resolving it, they told me it was likely a defective part and that they would reach out to the manufacturer. That was over a month ago. I needed my racks and everything by a certain date. I was stressing I wouldn’t get them in time and ended up going into store. They had what I needed but just not the towers. They shipped them over night and I had them literally the next day. Went to go put my cargo box on and realized I needed another part and it’s last minute and I would of taken 5 days but I called the company to tell them my situation and they are now shipping that over night as well. I explained the situation with my truck topper. They said bring it in and we'll take care of it. I drove 45 minutes to my appointment. Once I got there, they looked at it for a few minutes and then said they can't fix it. Because the guy that was supposed to fix it didn't come into work.
