I cannot thank the people at Rack Attack and Rocky Mounts enough! One a road trip to the East Coast, I encountered a rack issue just outside of Illinois. Since my next stop was Chicago, I searched for places in the city that could help either fix or replace the rack. Working with the customer support team at Rocky Mounts and the very nice people at this Rack Attack location, they were able to help me replace the rack with an upgrade, all covered under Rocky Mounts warranty. Lemme preface by saying everyone’s super nice and helpful…but I genuinely don’t get this place. The markups on gear are shameless (20%, oof). Installation fees are also expensive. This place is okay if you need to see stuff in person before you buy it, and have zero basic tools.
Staff was amazing and seemed super knowledgeable even before I met them at the store. Called in to get help for our 2022 Ford Escape and having a 2” receiver installed for a bike rack. They walked me through all of the parts needed, setup an install that worked for me, and knocked it out of the park on the install. Would 100% recommend them to anyone in Chicago area looking for a bike rack. Chicago is lucky to have a professional rack installation business like this. I installed racks for years. Most people can't do self installation safely. It's nice to not have to worry about the roof rack coming loose and hitting the car behind you. Great job, done to a high level of perfection. Thank you guys
