I've lived in the Blairstown area for years and have been using R&T Automotive for about seven of them. While I’ve tried a few other local shops, I keep coming back here—this place stands out. The owner strikes me as a genuinely nice, unassuming, and intelligent guy. Most importantly, he's always been honest in my experience. Over the years, I’ve gone to him for oil changes, new tires, tune-ups, and various fluid services, all at reasonable prices. BEWARE!!! You have been warned. I had 4 tires mounted and balanced about a month ago and this guy charged me $80. Brought my other truck in for the exact same service on my other truck and SURPRISE!! He charged me $120!!! When I questioned him about that he said, oh we had a price increase and I really don't like to do tires!! A 50% price increase?? I don't think so...........he just wanted to see if he could get $120 out of me. Besides, he could charge $100 a tire to mount and balance.............it's all about disclosure. ... read more
