This was one of the most negligent and unacceptable experiences I have ever had at a spa. We booked a simple facial, yet without any proper consent or clear explanation, they proceeded to include a back and leg massage. The leg massage was performed improperly and recklessly. Shortly after we got home, my mother experienced severe pain and significant swelling in her leg, to the point that she had to go to the hospital. A spa is supposed to make you feel relaxed and cared for—not rushed out. Unfortunately, I have experienced how tightly the therapists, treatment rooms, and appointments are scheduled. Clients are often booked almost back-to-back, leaving very little buffer time for therapists to prepare the room, get equipment or supplies, and properly transition between clients.
