Went here for a routine inspection. they said it would take 30 minutes or so. after a 90 minute wait, they said “welllll there’s a couple things we need to get taken care of before you can get passed” and slid me over an $1800 quote. the actual reason for failing the inspection is completely vague “excessive play” with no accompanying measurements. it appears strongly to me as a grift as I took it to a second mechanic who promptly passed the inspection the very next day. I have been a loyal customer of this shop for several years, but unfortunately, I have lost my trust and confidence in their work. I recently had my ball joints repaired, which cost around $1,000. When I picked up my vehicle, I immediately discovered an issue with the push-start button.
