My 13 year old grandson took in his smart phone with a broken power switch and was told $10- $15 to repair. He worked and saved for two weeks to get $20. and took the phone in for repair. This time the store repairman took the cover off and said $65. to repair. Since he couldn't afford the repair, the store took his $20 as "labor charge" and gave him back his broken phone. Real classy place. There is another phone repair shop a quarter mile south.
