My son broke his wrist at Sky Zone on Sunday evening. We went to the ER at Tarzana Hospital. The next morning, Monday, we went to my son’s pediatrician, and she sent the insurance authorization. We were able to be seen the following day, Tuesday morning. The front office staff was very nice and polite, and the back staff was also kind and professional. A warm and attentive doctor.
My daughter sustained a serious knee injury, got in for a quick appointment, recommended an MRI. I have an HMO so need approval first. Taking forever for the office to just send in the request for an MRI to the HMO (3 days later and I am still waiting). Kept telling me that they will get to it when they can. The PCP and even prior ortho we have used did the referrals while we were in the office, and sometimes even had them approved before we left. Dr. Hoang was nice, but the office is way too slow. We brought our daughter to this medical group on a recommendation as she had injured her arm...what a mistake! We are now 6 months later, we received the wrong treatment...having to go to a specialist to fix what should have been diagnosed and treated properly when the injury occurred...in addition, the office staff is horrible...avoid at all costs!!!
I have always liked Dr. Hoang. Seems thorough and not rushed. It's the office staff. They are very rude. Not just one, but all of them. They make you feel like you've really effed their day up by forcing them to check you in or make an appointment for a follow up. If you call and leave a message (especially if it's on the recording), do not expect a call back, even though they will acknowledge that they do remember getting the message.
