Kind of breaks me to know the community is losing this pool. It's changed my life over the last few years, I've become fitter, healthier, and happier for it. Don't know what I'll do when it closes, especially given centenary pool is closing at the same time. There's nothing else on the north side that's shaded or has parking. I just signed the change.org petition "Save the Kelvin Grove Pool"
I want to give a heartfelt 5-star review to all the incredibly friendly and dedicated pool staff. This pool has been truly outstanding—one of the most special places in Brisbane and a real part of the community’s life. Its closure feels deeply saddening, like the loss of a place that held so many memories, routines, and moments of connection for so many people. The facilities are okay but the hygiene standards of the gym are kind of shocking. There are no wet wipes, only toilet paper and a detergent spray bottle that is filled with water. Genuinely disturbing. Also the opening times are very inconvenient but that’s a different story
