6 months ago I suffered a significant injury to both my knees - a bilateral patellar tendon rupture. Boom!! Needless to say, I was down and out. I remember feeling so angry that this happened and worried about all my responsibilities and dependents. My legs were taken out from under me. I was hurt pretty bad and I was scared. Dr. MacEwan took fabulous care of me and my ankle which required three separate surgeries from July 2019-June 2023. His bedside manner was amazing, and he was always understanding, and empathetic. His team was always extremely helpful and made me feel so much less nervous. I am healing as we speak from the last surgery and I'm so excited to get out in the world again and go for long walks like I used to! None of this would have been possible without MacEwan and his team! Thank you so much!

Reception did not tell me to go to the Sidney St location and I ended up at the Dundas St location across from the hospital. Dr McEwen had horrible beside manner. Argued with me about my injury and blamed my pain and injury on an existing autoimmune disorder that has nothing to do with the injury and the information he has on my auto immune disorder is incorrect. He also argued that there was zero separation from my big toe and 4 other toes when the 1" gap is clearly visible. Do not recommend him to anyone.
