I bought a house here because it was affordable and with the few issues internally we have had they have resolved them. However, I am giving two stars because the landscaping is the last thing to go into the community and DRHorton came up with the absolute cheapest option and cannot execute on that. They paid for hydroseed and did not maintain it so it's now just 2 foot tall weeds. The fields were not cleared of rocks and debris before the hydroseed. We bought a townhome from DR Horton in quiet valley. I am seriously frustrated with DR Horton for the lack of care and planning for the community and landscaping! Everything we were sold on for community amenities (Pump Track, Grass!, Parks) have been over promised and way under delivered! I hope something will be done to correct these issues in my community, other wise I will not be able to recommend DR Horton to anyone looking to buy their first home in one of their new communities.

Update: When we moved in and did our final walk through, we taped everything that needed to be fixed. While they did fix them, they used the wrong paint color. We had someone come and look at the issues and they said that it will “fade” within a year. Turns out, DR Horton has no record of the exact color of paint they used… they are working on getting this issue resolved, but this is crazy to have so many issues in a brand new home. The sales experience when buying our home was great. I worked with Jeff and would recommend him to anyone. My issue is with the rest of the development and more particularly, the landscaping end of things. As you can see by these latest posts, there are massive common areas in the community that DR Horton was supposed to take care of. DR Horton submitted landscape plans to Spanish Fork City and those laid out what DR was supposed to do to maintain the landscape areas. And they haven't done any of that. “Move to D.R. Horton!” they said… “It will be fun!” they said…. Lots of empty promises from D. R. Horton. We were told they were putting in awesome grass fields and a fun pump track under all the power lines. Instead, we have mud fields covered in rocks and three-foot-tall weeds. We have an unusable “pump track” also covered in weeds, full of loose rocks, and puddles when it rains.
