The service is horrible
I've had nothing but pleasant experiences working with Quicken Loans. The quick turnaround times and easy closing procedure are really appreciated. They reached out recently via email that they may be able to reduce my monthly payment on a refi and give me cash to leverage my equity on my mortgage. My interest was piqued bc I am about saving money whenever possible. They did a soft pull and when they got back to me they offered me a refi at 7% with 1.25 points (5.75%), with $21K in closing-- I'd get $30k in cash for the refi that I could use how I want. One time, in 2021 I contacted Rocket Mortgage to ask about refinancing options. I was soon bombarded with calls about refinancing. When I told the rep I was no longer interested he insisted that I tell him why! This time March 2022, I did not contact Rocket Mortgage to inquire about refinancing my mortgage, someone called me. That person said that I reached out to Rocket Mortgage to discuss refinancing. No I did not! I said, I was not sure but if I decided to do it, I would 'let you know'.
