Review I contacted my salesman Dave Watson by phone (888) 841-4361, I ordered a 2015 Ford Mustang GT Convertible with the full 50th anniversary appearence package. In my situation I needed to be in a new vehicle before the 12/31/2014, Dearborn was not telling the dealer when the car would be shipped and it was12/27/2014 so I decided (actually a smart decision) to look at F-150's. Purchased a 2012 Shelby GT500. Paid full sticker price. Upon delivery, vehicle had a nick in the console and discoloration in the bezel around the navigation screen. Ford denied warranty service to correct these problems. Dealer failed to convince Ford that the problems were due to manufacturing defects. A noteworthy experience – I was given the name of a salesman at Tommie Vaughn Ford - David Bagby and I made the call. He was the opposite of a "typical car salesman". It was the first time I have ever bought a car and felt good about it when I left confident in the purchase. They have a family feel when you go in and it was a very refreshing experience considering the service at various establishments in this day and age. Nice people, but typical dealer price shenanigans – I went to Tommie Vaughn Ford to look at a specific new vehicle. I already had two offers from other dealerships (one inside the city, one out). The people at Tommie Vaughn were very nice, relaxed, and generally made the experience of trying out the car a good one. However, when it came to negotiating a purchase price, the typical dealer shenanigans kicked in. tommy vaughn lame a** service dept.... BEWARE! Keep on top of them!!!! or you might get sh*t too – THIS IS A REVIEW OF SERVICE DEPARTMENT ONLY BEWARE I AM ONLY WRITING THIS TO ENSURE IT DOESNT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE my keys were stolen at a store; due to the engine's dependence on microchip in my key, my spare wouldn't work. Last of the hometown car dealers – I buy Ford autos because of Tommie Vaughn. There are other great cars on the market, but there is only one Tommie Vaughn Ford. My last several purchases have been pretty much by telephone. No hassle, no games, easy transactions and extremely fair prices. The sales folks are now like family to me, and the service folks treat you as if you were their only customer. Highly recommended !
