June 5, 2026. I came to the Quest Diagnostics in Marina, CA, without appointment at 7:30 am, registered and was waiting for them to call me in. I had two orders for blood work. One was fully paid ahead of time and other would be paid through my insurance. I saw people coming in obviously for scheduled appointments which is fine. Quest Diagnostics has lost their way. Absolutely NO SERVICE interface but a kiosk. Came to drop off a specimen waited 1+ hour with no hope of even an employee talking to me. All they had to do was print a label and take my jar. Left and made an appointment at another Quest to drop off. Took my entire day to give them business. This a clear indication of removing the human interface to make more $$. Allowing this is another step in the degradation of healthcare in this country.
