I had the utmost unpleasant experience with Michelle. I came here for my 3 year old daughter to get blood drawn for the first time. Michelle was rude and dismissive as soon as she saw me. She rolled her eyes at me several times because she could not get my address correctly and made me repeat myself over 5 times. After this, I became very visibly upset. I was a walk-in at Quest Diagnostics on 13th Street in Brooklyn. The system was down when I arrived, so there was about an hour to an hour and a half wait, but I expected that since I didn’t have an appointment. The waiting room was busy, but I had the time and stayed patient. When it was my turn, I was seen by George. He was very professional and patient, especially since my veins can be difficult to find. Phlebotomist Ms. Claudette was extremely nice and professional. Drew blood on the first stick. Quick and easy. Short wait time. Clean office. Good experience all around.
Waited an hour and had to leave before I was seen. There seemed to be one person working there alone, totally inundated with patients (not her fault). They pack in people’s appointments with zero regard for their staff or whether it’s feasible for anyone.
My issue is not with quest or the phlebotomist that took my son's blood; but that I had an appointment, and they took two walk ins before me. Both walk ins registered after I arrived. When I asked the worker/ lab tech who was there why this was the procedure she stated" I clicked next and the computer selected them first". So why make an appointment?
