Checked in as a walk in at 1:40 for a urine drug screen for school. Per the website they stop drug screen at 2. Waited 20 minutes for Trish to walk out and (very rudely) say drug screens stops at 2pm, she’s off at 2:40 and won’t be able to take me as a walk in. It’s the lack of customer service that really drives me nuts. No smile. No eye contact. Walked away in the middle of me asking for clarification. Just all around rude.
My 80-year-old wife, Institutionalized with dementia, was returning from a doctors visit for a fractured pelvis follow up. The doctor ordered three tubes of blood to be drawn. Appointments were filled for the day but, I stopped in to see if I could have a walk-in appointment. I was promptly seen, and the blood was drawn by Jennifer. Came as a walk-in, which clearly irritated the technician. She then stated that insurance was unlikely to cover some of the bloodwork, so she asked me to pay in advance with credit card. When I stated that I’d prefer to be billed pending an insurance decision, she was again very standoffish. Probably spoke less than 10 words the whole time I was in. I’m not dealing with a serious health situation, but I feel sorry for patients who are and receive this kind of treatment when they’re already stressed and anxious. Bad experienc... read more
