If you have difficult veins and you're going to Quest at Hialeah Hospital, ask for Maylen. Seriously. I've had enough bad experiences getting blood drawn that I put this appointment off for way too long because I was scared. I told her, "If you can't find one in my arm, just go straight for my hand. I'd rather it hurt once than get poked over and over." She actually listened. She checked both arms, felt a vein I couldn't even see, and got it on the first try. No digging around.
