I had to go in for Functional Health services and they needed to do over a dozen vials for the blood work and it was so fast! Once you have the appointment set, you should have an appointment code which you type in on the screen once you walk in and after that you just wait. I was early and I was seeing almost to the minute of the appointment. I'm shocked at how fast the whole process was from start to finish- about 30 minutes counting the time that I arrived early. Usually have a great experience with this lab. Not this particular day. The phlebotomist hit a nerve when she drew my blood; it sent a shock to my wrist. I told her it was hurting more than normal. She said nothing; did nothing. I didn't know what to do but sit & suffer. Eight days later, it still hurts near my wrist. I have to open a lot of bottles for my career, so this makes my job hard to do. She had a cold, indifferent personality....barely said anything to me. Thank you for this opportunity. I was very upset that the person that drew my blood never acknowledged me, because she was talking to a friend on the phone the entire time. Not only that she stuck me 3 times and i've never seen someone push the needle in and pull it out then go back with the same needle. She called for someone after the 2nd try to come, and when she came she said what do you want, the person drawing my blood said I'll do it. I said she has already stuck me twice. If you schedule at the University location, be prepared to wait over an hour past your appointment time. They are generally nice, but rarely have to stick me just once which does not help the needle anxiety! Recently, I had an appointment scheduled at the University location and no one was there, doors lock, and I received no notification of my appointment being cancelled.
