By far, the most pleasant experience I have ever had in a blood lab. The lines move swiftly and the staff is welcoming and comforting. I do not know if you can request or wait for a particular clinician, but Trevian was a master and my blood draw was quick, easy and painless (14 viles were needed). What an amazing ambassador for the Quest Diagnostics brand. Thank you Trevian. See you at Perkins Pancakes one of these days. Thank you.
Anissa should no longer be able to work there. In November she did my bloodwork and said "really all of these". Yes Anissa I am struggling with a medical condition and trying to figure out where. Low and behold, she did not run them all and I found out 48 hours before my apt. I go back today and after a 2 hour wait, oh it is Anissa again! She said yet again "oh all of these" and then refused to draw them because the clinic only put there name, fax and phone number. I was just at Quest today, Friday, Feb 6th, and couldn't find my cell when arrived home -not in my car". I drove back to Quest on Black Rock and located Renaldo who drew my blood earlier. It couldn't be found at Quest, but Renaldo suggested Calling my number when I got back to my car and it was ringing - I located my phone down between the driver's seat and my console. This place has all the charm of the slaughterhouse at a meat packing plant. They are efficient like a extermination camp. Not to be outdone, the billing department sent the bill to the wrong place twice even after I gave them printed instructions how to bill. Then, they sent the bill to me even after it was a VA referral with is over $500. I called them and told them it was a VA referral and send the bill to the VA but they billing manager Jesse said he didn't know how to do that. This is the worst professional office! I would rate it a minus 10 (-10)! No one will return your call if you have questions, they have contradicting information online and the "warden was awful" (treating everyone poorly in the waiting room!) What an embarrassment!
Angel made me feel less nervous about my visit, she was great. Everything went by efficiently the entire blood drawing process took less than 10mins. for anyone saying anything about the "wait time" it truly isn't bad, keep in mind they are a smaller facility, and a lot of people come and go :).
Experience was ok. Had WBC and urine orders marked STAT. Results mattered, High numbers meant back to being admitted for 72 hours of IV antibiotics, within normal or even high normal remain home with oral antibiotics. I verified that labs were not being sent to Tampa/Gainesville, means same day results. Here I am 72 hours later and nothing. Dr is sending me to the ER (New Years Day). Quest should have turned me (and others) away if they were so overwhelmed that could not do the simplest of labs in a timely manner.
Horrifying today at 4801 W. Peterson Avenue in Chicago, IL ...I had to make an appointment on line twice...to get the appointment once. Took cab...No one checks you in...just a machine...I get called in..the guy taking the blood told me to put my coat in a "hole" in the office which was filthy...and then told me he could not take the blood test because he had no fax on it.. despite the fact that he had my primary doctor's phone number and address, and because I was never told to have that at registration time. I had an appointment at quest in Quakertown at 9:40am. I left at 10:40am. the place was over booked.
