The phlebotomist did not know how to properly draw blood. She did not follow procedure. First she left the tourniquet on the entire blood draw, and then she kept attempting to straighten my arm by pushing up on my elbow and hyper extending my arm. My arm was straight, there was no need to do that. She is a liability to the lab. And bruised me as a result of her action. My visit was the worst experience I have ever had. 1. After the staff called my name, I handed her the blood test form. She merely glanced at it and claimed it did not specify which tests were required. I then pointed out the clearly marked checkboxes next to the relevant items—she simply had not looked carefully. 2. She then asked for the doctor’s name, even though the doctor’s and hospital’s details were clearly printed at the top left corner of the form, obvious to anyone at a glance. The person that collected my labs was polite but the other 3 employees that I encountered were extremely rude. I had a scheduled appointment and sat in the waiting room for an hour while they took people that were scheduled after I was. This is not the first time that I have encountered rude staff at this location.
I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at this Quest Diagnostics location. The “manager” on duty that day, Sameera, was rude and dismissive. I arrived around 2:20 PM and checked in as a walk-in. At approximately 3:00 PM, she came into the waiting area and announced that they were no longer accepting walk-ins for the day. While I was finishing up some work and preparing to leave, I noticed that staff continued calling names from the walk-in list.
