The only issue was the wait time. I scheduled an appointment at 12:40 and did not get seen until after 1 pm. Once I was in the chair, the young lady was wonderful. I shared my fear of needles and she walked me through the process and even showed me where to show future staff where was a good spot for my blook draw. Before I knew it, the whole thing was over.
After waiting too long yesterday at another tiny Quest waiting room inside another Tom Thumb (over an hour total without being called for my APPOINTMENT), and leaving before being seen, I made an appointment at this Quest location for a different time and day hoping for better results. Not so. I received her services today at 3:30 appointment at 819 W Arapaho Rd, Ste 39, Richardson, TX. The person named "Katy" was very rude. She asked very harsh questions, spoke in a very intimidating manner, and wasn't friendly. We didn't feel comfortable, and we didn't like the tone of her voice.
I’m always nervous to get blood drawn and I’m a hard stick with tiny, deeply buried veins. But Kathy put me at ease with her gentle and compassionate nature. She did a great job drawing blood and when I got close to passing out she kept me talking and had me smell an alcohol pad. She watched me afterward until I was deemed ready to get out of the chair.
