I recently had an A&E visit and was truly disappointed by my experience. Particularly with the admin / reception staff, who were rude and extremely unhelpful. They were not busy there were hardly any other patients to see, so there was no excuse for the behaviour. Chatting, ignoring me, being rude, dismissive and unprofessional. I really appreciate all the staff in the Queen Elizabeth Emergency Department for their hard work and dedication. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and care. The staff were compassionate and understanding, making a stressful situation much easier to handle. I am incredibly grateful for the excellent level of care I received and the effort the team puts in every day to help those in need. Rude nurse who strong-armed patient to stand up and confiscated wheelchair. Very poor professionalism and a lot of blood was lost while performing blood tests.
